I am an evolutionary biologist and ecologist, interested in the causes of underlying patterns of species` abundance and distribution. My current work focuses on the limits of geographic range expansion in plants. I am active in 5 professional societies, including services on society councils and editorial boards.

I am an evolutionary biologist and ecologist, interested in the causes of underlying patterns of species` abundance and distribution. My current work focuses on the limits of geographic range expansion in plants.

I also investigate relationships between plants and pollinators at the community level, including the impact of solar energy facilities on native bee populations

Teaching Focus

I teach an upper-level course in Community Ecology and Evolution, the EEB Graduate Core Course, and graduate seminars. I also contribute to the teaching of Evolutionary Biology for Undergraduate Biology Majors
